This privacy statement discloses the privacy practices for the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.

Information Collection and Use

The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce is the sole owner of the information collected on this site.  We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.  Our organization collects information from our users at several different points on our website.

The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce utilizes “cookies” strictly to track the user for the duration of their visit to our website for the sole purpose for Chamber analytical use only.  Users have the option of disabling or not accepting cookies by changing the preferences on their browsers.* If users opt to disable cookies, they will still be able to use our website.  However, they will not be able to use some functionality or post to the message boards.  No personally identifiable information (e-mail address, name, etc) is collected with the cookies we set.  Accepting cookies while on the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce site will not put the user at risk for marketing to other sites and it is not used for any subsequent tracking once the user leaves the site.

Database / Emails

At various points on our site, you may provide personal contact information to ask for information, register for an event, provide feedback or request written materials. Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

  • Listing in our online member directory. If you are a current member, your company name, address, phone number, fax number and website are listed in our online member directory. Members may purchase mailing lists. To change/edit this information, please contact us at 770 832 2446 or
  • Processing financial transactions and fulfilling requests submitted via forms. Your information will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested.
  • Adding you to our newsletter distribution list. The e-mail addresses you provided for yourself and/or your employees are entered in our database and added to our newsletter distribution. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.

The Chamber does not support or condone the use of spam and the sending of unsolicited email in any form. Therefore, we do not distribute or share e-mail addresses except at your explicit request. Use of this Site, directly or indirectly, to send spam or unwanted email is strictly prohibited. You agree not to use data from this Site to allow, enable, or otherwise make possible, dissemination or collection of this data, in part or in its entirety, for any purpose, such as the transmission of unsolicited advertising and solicitations of any kind, including spam.

The Chamber employs appropriate measures to protect personal information collected online.

In an effort to prevent email harvesting, the Chamber staff will make every effort to “blind copy” addresses of e-mails originating from the Chamber.  If you do not want to receive emails from us in the future, please let us know by sending an email to our Information Specialist ( 


This website takes every precaution to protect our users’ information, and we have security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.


Occasionally, our site requests information from users from web surveys.  Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user, therefore, has a choice whether or not to disclose this information.  Survey results will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site as well as to improve the services we offer to our members.
